Body & Mind Wellness
About me
My life journey has been shaped by resilience and transformation. I’ve experienced two adoptions, foster care, divorce, single parenting, meeting my birth parents, unemployment, comunity work, volunteering, and a load full of challenges.
I’ve walked three very different career paths, embraced countless opportunities to study (and continue to do so with enthusiasm), and explored new experiences such as radio presenting and publishing books.

Adoptions, Adoptees & Identity
I provide ongoing support to adoptive parents / foster parents once they are back at home with their child/ren. It can be overwhelming to suddenly have a family, or children.
I provide support to parents via:
– workshops (online / in person)
– coaching sessions (online or in person)
For some adoptees, the truth about their adoption is revealed only later in life. This discovery can feel overwhelming, shaking their sense of identity and leaving them questioning whether their entire life has been built on a lie.
Such experiences often lead to struggles with rejection, self‑destructive habits, and a “victim mindset,” leaving many unsure how to move forward.
I provide guidance and practical tools to help adoptees, from a very young age until adulthood.
Assistance for both parents and children available:
- -Identity / Heritage / Birth parents
- -Trauma / Behaviour / Abuse
- -Cultural awareness
- -Mental Health / Resilience
The Adoption Journey Toolbox provides practical resources for parents of children aged 2–14. It includes books, guidelines, toys, and tools designed to help you support your child’s emotions, behaviors, and overall wellbeing.

I am honored to be part of a project called The Labyrinth, which supports family members and friends of people living with dementia.
In this initiative, I have been appointed as Coach to create and guide a long‑term circle of care for families and friends.
The Labyrinth is a project of the Rotary Club Paarl, now in collaboration with Rotary Bellville, and we are excited to launch a new group in April. This circle offers ongoing guidance, connection, and encouragement for those walking alongside loved ones with dementia.
I currently facilitate a group for family members at Buh-Rein Retirement Village – a new group will be formed in July/August – if you are interested to join or know someone who would love to join, please contact me.
The groups are closed groups, confidentiality is high priority. This is your safe space.
